Blundells: This is a co-educational day and boarding school for 570 pupils aged 11 to 18. 11+ entrance exams consist of assessments in English, Maths and Non-Verbal Reasoning. These are taken in January of Year 6 at Blundell’s and are Blundell's own tests, not the ISEB 11+ Common Entrance Exams. 13+ entrance is through the ISEB 13+ Common Entrance Exams, taken in June of Year 8 at Prep Schools, or via the Scholarship programme. For children not at Prep School, they can take Blundell’s Entry Tests in English and Maths by arrangement. 16+ entry is based on a report, interview and GCSE grades. Five GCSEs are expected at grade C or higher and an A or B in A-Level subjects. Scholarships are available with up to 30% fee remission. Overseas pupils must take an entrance test in English and Maths. Once at the school the students may take EAL courses including the IELTS exam.
