Caterham School: This is a co-educational day and boarding school for 945 pupils aged 11 to 18. At 11+, candidates are interviewed in November of Year 6 (age 10-11) and sit 11+ entrance exams in English, Maths and Verbal & Numerical Reasoning in the January of Year 6. These are set by the school and not ISEB 11+ Common Entrance Exams. 13+ entry is either by the deferred entry route with the ISEB Common Pre-Test used in Year 6 along with an interview. Students will also need to sit the 13+ paper to determine scholarship potential. 13+ entry can also be by the standard route where exams in English, Maths, Verbal and Non-Verbal Reasoning are taken in Year 8. Interviews are held and references are taken. 16+ entry is by interview, report and predicted GCSEs. Overseas students at 13+ take exams in English and Maths and attend a Skype interview. 16+ entrants take exams in English and 4 subjects considered for A-Level. Scholarships are offered at 11+, 13+ and 16+ and are up to 50% fee remission.
