Cheltenham College: This is a co-educational day and boarding school for 701 pupils aged 3 to 18. For 13+ entry, pupils attend an entrance day in Year 7. This consists of interviews and group activities. References are requested. Following this most candidates take either the 13+ Common Entrance Exams or the Cheltenham College Academic Scholarship Exams. However, for students not at a school that prepares for Common Entrance Exams, they sit the school's own papers in English, Maths and Science. 16+ entrants take the school’s own entrance exams in 3 papers and a minimum of 5 GCSEs at grade B or above are required. Scholarships are available by separate examination and are between 15-20% fee remission. Overseas pupils may take the exam papers at their current school and attend a Skype interview. They must also take an EAL paper if appropriate.
