Christ’s Hospital: This is a co-educational day and boarding school for 896 pupils aged 11 to 18. 11+ entry is through the school’s own exams which are computer-based assessments in verbal, quantitative, non-verbal and spatial reasoning. There is also a residential assessment, interviews and references are requested from the current school. For 13+ entry, there are pre-tests using computer-based assessments in verbal, quantitative, non-verbal and spatial reasoning. Following success at this stage, there is a further test to assess whether boarding is suitable for the student. All candidates are expected to pass their ISEB 13+ Common Entrance Exams with an average of 60%. For pupils at prep schools it may be possible to take the pre-test at 11 and defer entry. 16+ entry requires a minimum of 4 GCSEs at grade 7 or above and 4 at level 6 and above. The school’s own assessment is used and offers are conditional on GCSE results. A grade of 7 or higher is expected in subjects to be taken at A-Level. Overseas pupils can take either A-Levels or the International Baccalaureate. Additional English lessons are also provided. Scholarships are available offering 20% fee remission. A separate scholarship exam is taken. https://www.christs-hospital.org.uk/admissions/
