Dulwich College: This school has 1600 boys from ages 7 to 18. There is also a pre-school and Key Stage 1 provision for girls and boys from the age of 6 months to 7 years. The school offers day and boarding places. The main entry points are either into the pre-school, 7+, 8+, 9+, 11+, 13+ or 16+. At 7-9+ there are exams in maths, English (comprehension and writing) and non-verbal reasoning. The 11+ exam is taken by boys in Year 6, ready for entry in September of Year 7. They do not use the ISEB Common Entrance Exams papers but create their own to assess English, Maths and verbal and non-verbal reasoning. There is also a 13+ entry, taken at the end of Year 8. If boys are at a Prep School, they will sit 13+ Common Entrance Papers. If they are not at a Prep School, they will sit 13+ exams set by Dulwich College. For entry to the sixth form at 16+ students take exams in the subjects they plan to study for A-level. They must achieve at least a grade 8 in their GCSEs for subjects to be studied at A-level. Special arrangements can be made for overseas candidates to sit the examinations in their own country. Those who are non-native English speakers will need to sit the IELTS English language test and achieve at least level 6. Scholarships are available for remission of between 10-33% on fees. An interview and report from the current school is required for all candidates. Interviews for overseas candidates can be via Skype. There are international schools in Singapore, Dubai, Beijing, Seoul, Shanghai Pudong, Shanghai Puxi, Suzhou, Yangon and Zhuhai.
