Lancing College: This is a co-educational day and boarding school for 585 pupils aged 13 to 18. 13+ entry is through ISEB 13+ Common Entrance Exams or ISEB 13+ Common Academic Scholarship Exams (CASE). Students need to achieve an average of 55% in their Common Entrance Exams and only Level 2 and Level 3 papers are accepted. Students from schools which do not prepare for Common Entrance Exams will sit computerised cognitive ability tests. These take place at the College during Year 8 (spaces permitting). Ideally, students should register two years in advance of entry. Advance entry is also possible (deferred entry) and the ISEB Common Pre-Test can be taken in Year 6. If selected further written tests take place in January along with interviews and activities. Places are conditional on continued good progress. Pupils may take the CASE exam in Year 8 and also take the Common Entrance for setting. 16+ entry is by reference, interview, personal statement and a computerised cognitive ability test. A minimum of 5 GCSEs at grade 6 are required. Scholarships are available at 13+ and 16+ and provide a 5-10% remission on fees. A separate scholarship application is required. Overseas candidates take an exam, submit a reference and may have a Skype interview. https://www.lancingcollege.co.uk/lancing-college/admissions/joining-lancing
