Monmouth School: There is a school for 643 boys aged 7 to 18 and 625 girls aged 7 to 18. There are day and boarding places. For 11+, entrance exams include written assessments in English, Maths and Verbal Reasoning, along with an informal interview and a report from present school. The English and Maths 11+ exam papers are based on the National Curriculum. In November of Year 6, there is also an activities morning to give children the change to experience the school environment and see if they are a good fit. For 13+ entrance exams, students at Prep Schools being prepared for Common Entrance, will take the ISEB 13+ Common Entrance Exam papers in June of Year 8. Those not being prepared for Common Entrance will sit Monmouth's own 13+ entrance exams in Maths, English and French. They will also have an interview with the Director of Studies. 16+ entry is based on an interview and a conditional offer of 5 GCSEs above grade B (preferably with A in A-Level subjects) may be made. Scholarships are available at 11+, 13+ and 16+ by exam, interview and report. Overseas pupils may have EAL lessons. https://www.habsmonmouth.org/girls/admissions/overview/
