Northwood College for Girls: This is a day school for 844 girls aged 3 to 18. For entry to the Junior School at age 3+ or 4+ parents must register by the Autumn Term prior to entry. There is an informal assessment in January. 7+ entry involves written papers in English, Maths and an interview. For 11+ entry taster days are available for Year 5 girls. The school is a member of the 11+ London Girls Consortium consisting of 12 schools in London. From 2019 there is a new bespoke cognitive ability test which is 70 minutes long. The format is CEM and consists of questions covering required and an interview testing problem solving, critical thinking and creativity is conducted. The results can be shared with other schools in the consortium maths, verbal reasoning and non-verbal reasoning. It is not online and there are no other written assessments. Most questions are multiple choice. Entry for Year 7 is taken in January of Year 6. The exam is not ISEB 11+ Common Entrance. References from the current school are also required and a separate application must be made for each school. Interviews and school references are also requested. 16+ entry involves an interview, school reference, and is conditional on GCSE results. The minimum requirements are 5 GSCEs at grades 5 to 9 and grades 7 to 9 in subjects for A-Level. International students may be allowed to sit the exam in their own school if the school is happy to administer them.
