Notting Hill and Ealing Hill School
Notting Hill and Ealing Hill School for Girls: This is a day school for 910 girls aged 4 to 18. For 4+ entry parents must register by the October in the year before entry. There is an informal play assessment in small groups. For 7+ entry there are formal tests in January in English, Maths and Reasoning. A reference is also requested from the current school. If successful girls may be selected for interview. The majority of girls in the Junior School stay for entry to the Senior School at 11+. All students take the 11+ exam along with external candidates so that they can be considered for the academic scholarships. For external candidates seeking entry at 11+, the school is a member of the 11+ London Girls Consortium consisting of 12 schools in London. From 2019 there is a new bespoke cognitive ability test which is 70 minutes long. The format is CEM and consists of questions covering required and an interview testing problem solving, critical thinking and creativity is conducted. The results can be shared with other schools in the consortium maths, verbal reasoning and non-verbal reasoning. It is not online and there are no other written assessments. Most questions are multiple choice. Entry for Year 7 is taken in January of Year 6. The exam is not ISEB 11+ Common Entrance. References from the current school are also required and a separate application must be made for each school. Selected girls will be called for interview and references requested. Overseas candidates are required to take the assessment at one of the 12 schools in London. 16+ entry requires a written paper, interview and references. A conditional offer is subject to GCSE results which are expected to be grade 7 to 9 in subjects studied for A-Level. Scholarships of around 10% may be awarded at 11+ and between 5-20% for 16+. https://www.nhehs.gdst.net/admissions/
