Queenswood: This is a girls only day and boarding school for 428 pupils aged 11 to 18. 11+ entrance exams are taken in January of Year 6 (age 10-11). If at a prep school they will take the ISEB 11+ Common Entrance Exam. If they are not, they will take papers in English, Maths and Verbal Reasoning. There will be an interview and reference requested from the current school. 13+ entry requires candidates to take the ISEB 13+ Common Entrance in English, Maths and French or Spanish. 16+ entry is based on exams taken in the chosen A-Level subjects. Typically, six grade 6s with grades 7 to 9 in the subjects chosen for A-Level. There is also an interview. Overseas pupils will need to take an EAL paper and can take the entrance exams in their current school along with a Skype interview. Extra EAL lessons are given once at the school.
