Rugby School: This is a co-educational day and boarding school for 800 pupils aged 13 to 18. For 13+ entry, pupils are interviewed in the Spring term of Year 7 (age 10-11). Their current school will be asked to provide an academic report and Verbal Reasoning test report. Children will be asked to bring their English and Maths exercise books and an example of good work. Following this assessment, a conditional place can be offered. This will be dependent on an average of 55% at 13+ Common Entrance at the end of Year 8 (age 12-13). Pupils at non-Common Entrance schools take exams in English and Maths and day students take an exam at 11+. 16+ entry is dependent on GCSE grades. At least 3 GCSEs at grade 7 or higher are needed along with 3 more at grade 6 or higher. These must include English, Maths and the chosen A-Level subjects. Scholarships amount to 10% reduction in fees. Overseas students take the UKiset exam and send the report to the school. They then follow the normal entry process and interviews and exams take place at Rugby.
