St Helen’s School Northwood: This is a day school for 1153 girls aged 3 to 18. 3+/4+ entry involves observation of group activities. If girls are shortlisted they will be invited to an interview with the Head of Prep. The school is a member of the 11+ London Girls Consortium consisting of 12 schools in London. From 2019 there is a new bespoke cognitive ability test which is 70 minutes long. The format is CEM and consists of questions covering required and an interview testing problem solving, critical thinking and creativity is conducted. The results can be shared with other schools in the consortium maths, verbal reasoning and non-verbal reasoning. It is not online and there are no other written assessments. Most questions are multiple choice. Entry for Year 7 is taken in January of Year 6. The exam is not ISEB 11+ Common Entrance. References from the current school are also required and a separate application must be made for each school. An interview will also be conducted. Scholarships between 10 and 50% may be offered based on the exam and interview. 16+ entry requires a minimum of 7 GCSEs grades 6 to 9 including English and Maths. A 6 or 7 grade may be required for certain subjects to be studied at A-Level.
