The Ley's School
The Leys School: This is a co-educational day and boarding school for 572 pupils aged 11 to 18. For 11+ entry, pupils will be will be tested in English, Maths and Reasoning in January of Year 6. The school has its own 11+ entrance exams and does not use the ISEB 11+ Common Entrance Exams. A report is also requested. For 13+ entry, pupils are also tested in English, Maths and Reasoning. The school has its own exams and does not use the ISEB 13+ Common Entrance Exams. For boarders applying for entry at 13+ the ISEB Pre-Test is used in January of Year 6 testing English, Maths, Verbal Reasoning and Non-Verbal Reasoning. An interview and report will also be required and if successful no further testing is required. 16+ entry is based on an average score of 5.5 in GCSE and grade 6 or 7 in subjects to be studied for A-Level.
