Wellington College: For 13+ Entry, students must be registered by December of Year 6 (age 10-11). In the Spring term of Year 6, candidates sit the ISEB Common Pre-tests and Wellington College requests a reference from the candidate's current school. If successful at this initial stage, the candidate is invited to attend another assessment day at Wellington School in September of Year 7 (age 11-12). At this second stage, there will be activities, interviews and even lessons so that the school can start to understand the different characters and their strengths. Following this, a conditional offer may be given, dependant on success with either 13+ Common Entrance Exams, the 13+ Academic Scholarship or the College's own entrance exams. From 2021 places will be offered in Year 6 based on a favourable transfer report from the current school. 16+ - there are 35 places available and there is a favour towards girls. Entrance is based on school reports and a personal statement. Some will be invited to an assessment day involving exams, interviews and activities. Scholarships are available at 13+ and 16+ but offer no financial benefit. Overseas students take the UKiset exam. It is preferred if they can come to Wellington for the exam and interview but on occasion may be allowed to have these overseas. There are also international schools in Tianjin, Shanghai, Hangzhou and Bangkok. https://www.wellingtoncollege.org.uk/admissions/admissions-overview/
