Whitgift School: This is a boys day and boarding school for 1485 pupils aged 10 to 18. 11+ candidates sit 11+ entrance exams in Mathematics, English and Verbal Reasoning in January of Year 6. Whitgift prefers to use its own 11+ entrance papers as opposed to the ISEB 11+ Common Entrance Exams. 13+ candidates sit 11+ pre-tests in Mathematics, English and Verbal Reasoning in Year 6. This can lead to a conditional place dependant on success with 13+ Common Entrance. 16+ entrants can apply for A-Levels or the International Baccalaureate. Exams take place in November of Year 11 in 2 A-Level subjects and a critical thinking paper. Scholarships are available at up to 50% fee remission. Overseas candidates may be required to take an EAL test in addition to the normal entry process.
