Wimbledon High School
Wimbledon High School: This is a day school for 1028 girls aged 4 to 18. 11+ is the main point of entry to the senior school. The first stage are paper and pencil tests in Verbal and Non-Verbal Reasoning in November of Year 6. The second stage is a creative writing assessment day in January of Year 6 involving problem solving, teamwork and numeracy and literacy assessments. 16+ entry involves tests in Verbal Reasoning and 3 exam papers in the subjects chosen for A-Level. There is also an interview. Grades 7 to 9 are expected in GCSE for chose A-Level subjects and a minimum of 8 GCSEs grades 6 to 9 are required. There are scholarships available at 11+ and 16+ with awards of between 5-20% of fees. International students entering the sixth form must have an IELTS score of at least 6.8 and grade 6 to 9 in GCSE English Language.
